Alex could not think of a more fun way to spend the Who-lidays than back at HRTC! Previous shows include; SYLVIA (Sylvia), Brian Park’s Regional Premiere of THE HOUSE (Lindsay), Lewis Black’s ONE SLIGHT HITCH (Melanie), VANYA AND SONIA AND MASHA AND SPIKE (Nina), and AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY (Karen). Joe is delighted to be back with The Human Race, working with some of his favorite people for the holidays. Joe is a proud Resident Artist with HRTC where he’s directed AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS, AVENUE Q, SEUSSICAL, among many others. He is Distinguished Professor of Musical Theatre at Wright State University and works regularly with The Muse Machine, as well. Jacquelyn is delighted to begin her fifth season with HRTC! Jacquelyn received her BFA in Theatre Design & Technology with an emphasis in Stage Management from Wright State University. During her collegiate years, Jacquelyn had the pleasure of working for Adam Pascal, Jason Robert Brown, and Tom Hanks. Her first show with HRTC was Hail Mary! back in October 2016. After nine consecutive shows as the Production Assistant, Jacquelyn was promoted to Production Stage Manager in Spring 2018 during Brighton Beach Memoirs. She is a proud member of Actors’ Equity Association and encourages you all to follow us on social media!
Scott is very happy to be returning to The Human Race and the Loft stage. After spending 20 years as the Technical Director for The Human Race, Scott spent 4 years working at Indian Hill High School in Cincinnati passing on his love for technical theatre but has now returned to the Dayton theatre world as the Theatre Manager/Technical Director for Sinclair Community College. Scott has designed close to 20 productions for The Human Race some of his favorites include Under a Red Moon, Brother Wolf and Copenhagen for which he received a Daytony for Outstanding Set Design. Scott attended Wright State University in the Theatrical Design and Production program studying both technical direction and set design.
Alex is a Wright State graduate of the Design and Technology program, with an emphasis in sound design. He has previously worked for Norwegian cruise lines before the pandemic, and is happy that theater is returning. Recently worked on the production of Airness at The Human Race Theatre Company and will be working with them throughout their current season. He is happy to be working on this production, and back to sound designing.
John is the long-term Resident Lighting Designer for The Human Race Theatre Company, Muse Machine, the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra Pops series, and the Dayton Opera Association. He also serves as the long-time Technical Director for the Fraze Pavilion and has provided advanced technical production coordination, lighting designs, automation programming, and performance operation services for many artists and productions that have visited that venue. John also has a diverse dance lighting background, having provided lighting designs and technical production services for many years to The Dayton Ballet and Dayton Contemporary Dance Co. John’s national credits include a lighting design package for a National Touring Production of the Elton John/Tim Rice collaboration Aida. Some of his most recent local credits include all the designs for The Human Race’s season at the Loft Theatre; Muse Machine’s productions at the Victoria Theatre and the Dayton Opera Association’s season at the Schuster Center. At 70, John just had his tonsils removed. Ouch!
Zoe recently returned to Dayton to teach costume design at Wright State University. Her most recent work includes WSU productions of The Addams Family and Lend Me a Tenor. Before returning, she joined Papermoon Opera Productions as Assistant Costume Designer and Charge Artist, her most recent work was on Madame Butterfly at the Fox Theatre in Spokane Washington and she co-designed costumes for Don Giovanni at Pensacola Opera. She’s very excited to be designing for The Human Race Theatre for the first time on such a fun show as Who’s Holiday!
